Yin & Meditation Course
starting Thursday 18 October | 7-8.15pm
Join me for a deeply therapeutic yin Yoga, pranayama (breath practices) and meditation to open the body, nourish the soul and bring ease into your whole being. The focus of the course will be to support our emotional and mental wellbeing leading up to the festive season, so we can truly be joyous as well. Yin Yoga is a powerfully healing practice that targets the myofascia (connective tissues) to reduce physical tension; improve flexibility and range of motion; and deeply relax the nervous system. As a result, we restore balance in our internal organs, reduce inflammation and stress, improve sleep, increase energy and clarity, and feel restored - which all play an important role in bolstering our wellbeing. Yin Yoga is a more meditative based practice, inviting us to cultivate greater balance, relaxation and surrender into our lives. Poses are floor based and passively held for typically between 3-5min, allowing time to truly surrender into the poses and explore. Each week will focus on the body’s different energy channels (meridians) which are linked to different aspects of the physical body, tissue and organ health, thought patterns and emotional wellbeing. Angela will weave her passion and training in yoga, mindfulness and psychology to explore and cultivate more compassion and courage, equanimity and assertiveness, abundance and acceptance, resilience and forgiveness, joy and love in our lives. Discover how to attune, integrate and mindfully respond to the challenges and constant change that modern life brings through healing yin poses, breath and meditation. Enjoy the following benefits: - Increased flexibility and range of motion - Improve overall health and wellbeing - Reduce inflammation and stress - Improve sleep, digestion and sense of calm - Increase energy, clarity and vitality - Releases fascia and improves joint mobility - Cultivate greater sense of calm, presence, compassion, equanimity and courage. - Balances internal organs and improves flow of chi. "Ange, as a teacher, was perfect for me. She had an open and non-judgmental approach - which was important as I was new to meditation. I understood the benefits of meditation and in particular how these benefits could be applied directly to my life." Meditation Student |
